I gotta admit, when he first came to the team, I was skeptical. “Another defensive big with no offensive game?” I said. Then he seemed pretty immature and I gotta say, I didn’t like him much.
I was totally wrong. Ever since that steal on Paul Pierce, Noah has just taken off. He’s got miles of potential yet, his enthusiasm for the game is infectious. It’s at the point now where he’s my favorite player on the floor for the Bulls.
I see we open the season at OKC on OCT 27. I was hoping for a bad team to play to have an easy 1-0 start. Not saying we won’t win at OKC but it could go either way. IF we start 0-1 its terrifying to think last yr’s Bulls were undefeated at one pt while the 2010-11 Bulls weren’t.
Matt Steigenga—> What? Since when does opening the season 1-0 or 0-1 make a dime’s worth of difference? If you’re saying that this years team isn’t as good as last years’s team…
im all for playing against better teams that way bulls get national coverage and idiots will feel stupid when they see drose dominates and people cant call him or our team overrated btw i love noah he is definatly my fav bull
I remember just shaking my head when this guy was drafted. After all, we had just gotten Ben Wallace from Detroit, and we needed a *scoring* big man back then. Noah, at the time, was raw, scrawny, unskilled offensively- a true “project”.
Looking back, I was dumb. And I was influenced by my hatred for those Florida teams that won NCAA’s.
But that blinded me to the fact that Noah is just a physical freak and a hard-nosed, hard working player. The Bulls did very well to draft him.
He has gotten bigger and stronger every year. He has improved his jumper every year. He has become more of a leader every year. He has banged hot chicks on exotic beaches every year.
Seriously. This guy has seized his potential as much as any player can. I struggle to think of a guy I was so down on on draft day who has made more of an impact on his team since then. Long live the Joker.
I was the same way as AK Dave on draft day. Only difference was I was a Florida fan and STILL didn’t want the Bulls to draft him. He looked like Sideshow Bob from the Simpsons in that suit with his hair sticking out of the sides from under his hat.
Naturally, I’ve since eaten a ton of crow and he’s my 2nd favorite Bull playing now easily. Love his heart, love his passion, still hate his shot, haha.
It’s kind of funny. If you think about it, we were all focused on the wavering tempest of Ben Gordon and Tyrus Thomas, while Noah was working his ass off … all of a sudden, we look up … and Noah is the leader of the team. So bizarre.
AK Dave, so true. It would be nice if the hard work Noah puts in this year pays off in an All Star birth. But even if it doesn’t, that will not diminish the fact that he’s the heart of this team and his contribution will never be reflected by any stat, advanced or otherwise, but only in W’s. Feelin the Noah love.
I followed Noah while he was at Florida, he seemed to will that team to win. Rebounding, diving for loose balls, setting picks, just doing the little things that needed to be done in order to win. Guess what we are seeing here in Chicago. As a Bulls fan you gotta love him. I think he has become the heart and soul of the Bulls. In the last three years Noah has turned himself into a solid ballplayer if not a potential all-star. He is fun to watch.
Looks like Chicago will be winning the Central now that they have picked up Boozer and quite a few other key sharpshooters in the mix,not to mention Cleveland no longer even has lebron james or SHAQ in the mix.Chicago is starting it’s title-winning tradtion in the Central while Cleveland is starting it’s losing tradition in this division. GO BULLS!!!!!
Savage, that is tough, haha. Noah actually makes them more than most centers I think so I guess I’d have him. Honestly I just close my eyes and let the announcers tell me if it went in. 😛
One thing is for sure, Noah embodies what this city loves. Tough blue collar player who plays with all heart and leaves it all on the court. Rodman said after the ’96 championship that Chicago loves a hard worker and he felt right at home. That’s why this city eventually turned on the likes of Ben Gordon and Tyrus Thomas. Boozer better take note and hopefully Noah’s passion rubs off on all the new guys.
TexasBEarsFan I am not counting the Thunder game as a loss, but the preasure is on to say we were undefeated at one PT of the season like we were in 08-09 (1-0) and 09-10 (1-0). But yes its a long season and either Boston or Miami will have a loss right away since they play each other opening night.
Did not bother to read all the above comments but I will add this about Jo K N he is a tue beast and he also has something most players do not have that is heart and he is a free spirit he talks the talk and walks the walk that is a good combo especially in this NBA I am so looking forward to seeing him grow not only on defense but offense also that is right I am going on record here and saying he makes a jump in his points per game after all he won two national titles and may have won three but he left also there is this to add to Noah he also has not reached his true worth on the team which I think is a true leader. this team needs someone like him to make sure the others in the league know what time it is when they play the bulls . Peace
I hated Jo when he was on Florida and was really mad when the Bulls drafted him. He’s just the type of player you hate unless he is on you’r team. He’s a lot like Rodman in that way. Needless to say I love having Jo on the Bulls now.

Keep it up Jo.
The double rejection on Gasol was too sweet.

BULLS ALL THE WAY IN 2011 AND BEYOND BABY.GO BULLS!!!!!!!
Noah is extremely athletic. he needs to be for rose, what tyson chandler was for chris paul…an alley oop threat off the pick and pop.

Noah is a beast!!!!!!!!!! I don’t care what anybody says lol
thirdsaint would you rather have to watch ten minutes straight of Noah shooting or Bill Cartright freethrows??? I know that’s a tough one..
I love Noah’s energy and passion. While Derrick leads by example, Noah really goes out there and gets you pumped. Hope he’s a Bull for a long time.
