Thanks for the tease, SLAM Magazine
According to Examiner.com, the latest issue of SLAM Magazine has two possible covers: One with LeBron James in a Knicks jersey and one with Dwyane Wade in a Bulls jersey.
Don’t get any funny ideas, though. The fine folks at SLAM don’t have any insider information. They — like everybody else in the free world — are simply speculating about what might happen. And, you know, brutally teasing hopeful fans in the process.
Of course, Wade returning to his home town is the longest of long shots. As ESPN’s J.A. Adande recently discovered, Wade clearly wants to stay in Miami and intends to lure one or two other big names to join his team of Super Friends.
Said Wade: “It’s going to be fit with me first. I’ve made that very clear. Do I want to leave? Nope. Mmm-hmm. I want to be in Miami. That’s where it starts.”
But he’s not recruiting. No, really.
Added Wade: “I don’t do recruiting. Not now, anyway. I don’t look at it as recruiting. I’ll gauge and see if guys want to be [in Miami], who wants to be with me. It’s about who can come to Miami, it’s about who do you trust, who can fit the organization, who best fits you as a player, things of that nature.”
What’s worse than Wade having already decided not to come to Chicago? I’ll tell you: Wade potentially stealing other free agents away from the Bulls.
I just hate D wade you know it, he wishes he could be as good as derrick rose.Thats why he wont sign with us i say we get The KING to feel in the small forward and David Lee to feel in the poward forward position and we beat the heat all times that we play them and then next year we can add carmelo and the bulls will be set for the next 5 to 10 years those players couldget rid of the three peat and make a 10 peat

Wade is a bitch ass for tryna trash Chicago…He’s just mad they got a better team than the heat. No matter who he gets we will be whopping their ass every time we meet in the playoffs. He’s only putting himself in a deep hole by talking all that fragglenaggle bullshit about the bulls.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If we don’t get Wade or Lebron, we won’t be a title contender next season. The thought of Wade wearing a Bulls uniform has almost completely diminshed. The only reason Lebron would come to Chicago would be to win but that’s not all he wants. Honestly we would all love to have James or Wade but I don’t see it happening. Both Lebron and Wade will be taken free agents with them too. The question is who? You should also think about is who will be left and is it worth it to spend max money on them? Lebron, Wade, Bosh, and Amere are the only ones that are worth max money. Johnson and Boozer are not but for some reason they’ll get max dollars. Boozer has not shown me that he’s capable of carrying a team anywhere other than the playoffs and the same can be said for Johnson. They’re overated. Hopefully we get someone that can make us a title contender and not just an exciting 4 seed.
dont care for wade much looking foward to see if bulls can get joe johnsen (not for max though) and/or chris bosh aslo looking foward to draft and see what bulls do with tht 17 pick on a side note i love slam magazine been a subscriber for almost 5 years now
The Heat is such a weak team it doesn’t matter if wade gets a FA to come to Miami. Bulls + Big FA > Miami + Big FA.

Well Luke..don’t worry about all the Izzo/Cavs talk, Izzo turned down the Cavs. Izzo was really only going to accept the job if he got a commitment from James..since Izzo declined on the Cavs job makes u wonder about James…just sayin’.
Why do people keep lobbying for Joe Johnson? I wouldn’t want him for any price. If we wanna blow max money (or even modest money) we ought to just have kept Ben Gordon. They’re essentially the same player. Last year Johnson’s totals and 2 years ago when he was on our team Gordon’s numbers are almost identical. Johnson averaged about 1 rebound more and 2 points more, but Gordon was better from 3 point range.
Joe Johnson is not the answer for the Bulls. If we end up with Johnson as our free agent prize, it’ll be the biggest offseason failure in Bulls history.

I would also like to see a sign and trade deal this summer for Rudy Gay in exchange for Deng and maybe J.J. (if Lebron James does not come to Chicago.)
joe johnsen and bg are not the same player they do have almost the same game (johnsen posts up more) but thats what the bulls need plus joe is like 5 inches taller (i dont believe bg was actually 6’3”)

I do not believe that the Bulls would consider Joe Johnson, his “ole” defense will not fit with Tib’s scheme. BG’s lack of effort ondefense is the main reason he is gone. No team will win an NBA championship without very solid team defense. That is the real story of this years finals, the team which plays the best defense has won each game.
Wade got a little too comfortable and soft in Miami. Who really wants to let their future ride on an often injured superstar on a team with no real talent besides Wade himself? I don’t think many, maybe Boozer. Not LBJ that is for sure. I really hope we get some talent and then get to laugh year after year when we dominate the Heat over and over and over.
Now this is the same player whom totally questioned Chicago’s loyalty about it’s current and former superstars about a month ago,and yet he is on this SLAM cover.Should have been that King in Cleveland on that SLAM cover because he is the most capable free-agent superstar totally capable of giving Chicago NBA titles year after year since Jordan and Pippen left the Windy City.What’s up with dwayne fade on that cover because we Bulls fans need to pull and root down to the wire for LeBron instead of dwayne fade.Another thing is Lebron’s heart gets broken in the postseason and yet he wins a playoff series and dwayne wade can’t even win a postseason series since winning that title in 2006 and that was all shaq whom did all the winning too,back then.GO BULLS.
I would love to see the Bulls sign SF:Lebron James or PF:Chris Bosh this summer as our top priority but, if that plan fails o0o well.
Plan B: get semi star players that we need like: PF:David Lee, PF-C:Channing Frye, C:Brendan Haywood, SG:Anthony Morrow, SG-SF:Josh Howard or SF:Rudy Gay.
Plan C: get solid players that we need like: C:Brad Miller (resign), PF-C:Jared Jeffries, PF-C:Drew Gooden, SF:Travis Outlaw, SF-PF:Al Harrington, SF:Matt Barnes, SG:Kyle Korver, SG:Rasual Butler, or SG: Mike Miller.
Basically if plan A fails, I am looking forward to see the Bulls use a combination of Plan B and C to start building their new roster for 2010-2011 season.
No matter what, Joe Johnson will get a Max contract. Everyone says they are not willing to pay him, but what if Wade and Lebron stay, Boozer goes to the Knicks, and Bosh goes to Miami? The guy is worth Max money for a 3 year deal or less.
Don’t worry, I’m not getting excited.
I hope that is not the case, I think Joe Johnson and Amare suck! they are getting old, they are injury risk type of players and they are NOT worth a max contract.
