Derrick Rose isn’t the only person who thinks the Bulls are playoff bound

And here I thought D-Rose was being a little brash by predicting the Bulls were going to be playing the Cavaliers in the playoffs. Turns out some yahoo on eBay turned the brash dial all the way to 11 by starting an auction for Bulls playoff tickets. Not even first round tickets. This guy has the Bulls going all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals:

playoff tix ebay

For the low, low price of only $2,240 (plus $15 shipping and handling), you can purchase imaginary 300-level tickets for what I’m guessing will be an amazing Eastern Confernece Finals showdown between the Bulls and those aliens from Space Jam. It’s a good thing the eBay buyer protection link was nested right under the main add.

I don’t know about the Eastern Conference Finals, but the Bulls are still in a position to Win and get in. Toronto has some issues with right now, and some unfavorable games. Turkoglu quit for the season (why try to make the Playoffs and get bounced when he went to the Finals last year), Barngnani is soft, and their role players are young and inexperienced (Wright, DeRozan, Weems, Johnson, and Belinelli). They play Philly and Golden State next, but have 4 games that will make or break their season and ours. They play a stretch of Cleveland, Boston, Atlanta, and then the Bulls. If they slip up, then the Bulls HAVE to win.

In case the Bulls get to the Eastern Finals – I still have my Muggsy Bogues Monstars jersey – #5.

The fat lady isn’t singing yet… I’m with Rose until the Bulls are out.

maybe when we were trying to dump contracts at the trade deadline we could have gotten someone who can play defense cause we are very weak on defense aside from a healthy noah and gibson and hinrich. we need to be able to put guys into the game at the end who are defensive players, then when we get the ball back we can call time out and bring in someone who can shoot. then we don’t blow all these games at the end where we allow easy layups or double team guys leading to wide open 3’s. did the bulls realize that they traded away 2 of their best defenders, so they needed to get a defender in return. flip and hakim are ok, certainly better than pargo. acie law is also better defensively than pargo. so pargo needs to be on the bench on defense every time possible. i wish we had something better to choose from, if we had traded for nate robinson he can shoot just as good as pargo and he makes less mistakes and defends better. so what if he’s a couple inches shorter. better yet, why didn’t we trade for camby, he is everything the bulls drafted tyrus to some day become. portland got camby from the clippers for total crap (steve blake and travis outlaw). what did portland do when they got camby, they went from a team 5 games over 500 to a team 17 games over 500. 7 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1.3 steals per game is what camby gets. that’s practically another noah, without plantar fagitis. defenders are so undervalued, no one realizes how many games they save. we don’t have the defense to make the playoffs, yet we believe free agency will save us. we better get some defense in the offseason, cause just getting some 25 point scorer is not going to make the bulls a championship contender, it would only make us good enough to win maybe 1 series or lose an exciting first round series like what having ben gordon and his offense did for us. we better get some defense, or it was a very bad idea to make the salmons trade to save that money for next year. he is a good player, and doesn’t make a lot of money, a good second half of the season player who can play some defense. i still like tyrus, but my main concern now is we got no defense, especially when a few of our guys gets hurt, which is pretty much always. guess paxson has always thought that camby is about to decline with his age, and he don’t wanna be run out of town by trading for another ben wallace over the hill guy, but camby continues to be a solid defender every year and he keeps getting traded for nothin, i don’t know why everyone keeps trading him. clippers are idiots. this is it bulls, better go on that winning streak now, or it really will be too late to come back. now or never. doesn’t look good.

Understand there’s a big difference between being cocky and being confident. Rose said exactly how he felt, and that’s great for a young guy to just come out and say that. None of this cliche ‘we gotta keep fighting’ , ‘the faith is in our hands’ bull. People complain about his leadership and the ability to have that killer instinct, well guess what, that’s a step in the right direction.

Derrick is very humble but at the same time he’s a winner. He has the right mentality to go forward, and I’d rather him speak how he feels instead of trying to word his comments properly to not offend the competition. I almost wish for the bulls to miss the playoffs because he will work that much harder in the offseason. Even though it’s just talk, it’s a great attitude to have.

Look at Toronto, no reason whatsoever for them to be scrapping for a playoff spot. That team is stacked but has zero chemistry. Bosh is calling out teammates, Turk flopped and give me Vinny over Triano any day of the week. I’m not saying bulls will make or miss the playoffs, but I love the fact that Rose thinks like a winner.

D rose was only thinking positive, what was he supposed to say “were done, we out”. I like the confidance, he wasn’t brash about it just staying positive, he turning the corner to becoming a leader. Unless Now he shys away from it for all the flack hes taking over this.

If the bulls get deng and hinrich back for the stretch run I feel that the bulls will sneak into the playoffs at the 8th spot. With that being said if the bulls have all of their players I feel that the bulls have a great chance at upsetting the cavaliers.

I think if we sneak into the 8th and have all of our players on hand I think we have a great shot at upsetting the Cavaliers.

Hilarious humor! So original, yet, so poignant. Maybe your other 4th grade buddies could throw out some ‘Yo Mama’ jokes too.

darn charlotte won by a point, we could have been within 3 games of them with 2 more games against them. i dont know if toronto or charlotte can go on a losing streak now. thank goodness deng finally played, could have used him last game. 0 minutes for pargo =win

    Ryan,

Keep drinking your Bulls coolade. With the entire team healthy and getting the 5th or 6th seed the Bulls might have gotten to the second round. This year was about building for the future, preparing for the draft and the “mega FA season”. It would have been nice to stay healthy and see what the core players could do. Now, instead we are going to push our injured players to be competitive and risk serious long term injury. That is a sign of job insecurity. Acie Law has shown flashes of talent. Yet management and head coach continue to play Pargo. Both Noah and Johnson are playing on bum puppies and the brain trust leaves Joe Alexander as an unknown quantity on the bench. Pax and company deserves to be gone. To think that these Bulls, unhealthy as they are will somehow get healthy and upset the Cavs is fantasy. Fun to dream about but not realistic. The Bulls have a bunch of useless players on their roster, Brown, James, Pargo and Richard. Miller, Murray and Warrick can be role players. Rose, Deng, Noah, Gibson, Johnson and Hinrich are the core players to build around. It would be nice to know for sure where Law and Alexander fit.

I try not demean or treat others in a derogatory manner. I do not appreciate little minds that feel they need to treat others with less than respect. It lessens the value that I can place on their comments.

I don’t see the Bulls catching Toronto – Toronto has a MUCH easier schedule down the stretch.

Bulls have 6 out of 7 games remaining against playoff teams with New Jersey the “easy” game left.

Toronto has only 3 out of 8 against playoff teams with “cupcake” games against Phily, Golden State, New York and Detroit.

  15. chance April 6, 2010 at 7:08 pm #

i think that the chicago bulls will make the 8th spot over toronto because toronto will lose the rest of their games and the bulls will win 4 of the 6 they got left.
