Christmas has come early

It’s not officially official.

It still has to be ratified by the owners and players.

It is, as David Stern pointed out, “subject to a variety of approvals and very complex machinations.”

But a tentative agreement has been reached to end the cursed 149-day lockout and begin a 48-game season on December 25.

By the way, the proposed Christmas Day schedule will be capped off by the Bulls facing the Lakers.

Derrick Rose versus Kobe Bryant never sounded better.

If you want details of the agreement, ESPN’s Marc Stein published Billy Hunter’s memo to players.

Training camp and free agency will begin on December 9.
