Check out this new Michael Jordan “commercial” (via TrueHoop via Docksquad Sports). Note the utter lack of Jordan-as-a-Wizard highlights. I’m so glad that our society as a whole simply pretends that whole thing never happened. Kind of like the Nazi moon base of World War II.

Yeah…there is a 0% chance this is a real commercial. It has the same music from some Jordan commercials that were on a few years back – the ones where the kids are performing Jordan’s moves on playgrounds and Jordan is only seen at the end. It is a great commercial, probably the best Jordan Brand commercial ever. Random idea for Matt: do a post counting down Jordan’s best 10-20 commercials. What would be #1? “Be Like Mike”? Jordan versus Jordan? What is love? Failure? Hare Jordan? Is it the shoes? That would be a good, debatable post!

I love the subtle reference to basketbawful with Jordan’s most spectacular play in the ‘commercial’ coming against the one, the only, greg ostertag.
