Aaron Gray: First man down

Category: injuries — Tags: , – Matt McHale @ 11:08 am

Last week Aaron Gray was celebrating a new one-year contract. Now he’s out of action for up to two months. Bummer.

According to John Jackson of the Chicago Sun-Times: “The Bulls suffered their first significant injury of training camp Tuesday as backup center Aaron Gray went down with a stress fracture of the lower left leg. He is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks, which means he’ll miss the first month of the regular season.”

I’m not too worried about Gray’s injury, considering that he wasn’t going to play very often anyway. However, it could become a problem if Brad Miller or (God forbid) Joakim Noah suffer an injury too. I don’t think Tyrus or the rookies are up to banging bodies with the big boys.

  3. This injury is going to be devastating to the Bulls. Big Sexy is vital to this team’s success. Hope the big guy isn’t out long.

  4. It is not a huge deal losing Gray for 2 months, as long as Miller or Noah don’t go down with a huge injury the Bulls will be fine with out Big Sexy. Remember we still got James as another backup Center and he will get sum small playing time if he is healthy hopefully.
