Trade Kirk, who is an excellent player who takes abuse for no good reason. he is our best defender regardless of position. but he makes too much to be a bench player. free up cash, develop Rose, Thomas and Noah and go all in on the free agent class in two years.

After reading the DX profiles, I think the most interesting prospects on that list are Budinger, Cassipi, Henderson, and Harangody. Vasallo sounds like a confused SWAC who can’t play D. Meeks looks undersized and underskilled. Vaden looks like another player who can’t get his weight under control. Gibson looks like a poor man’s Tyrus. DeJuan Blair is not polished enough on offense. We don’t need another Ben Wallace. He would get more burn elsewhere- he might end up a nice player but I personally don’t want him.

I like Harangody because he has a back-to-the-basket game and a scorer’s mentality, and other than Brad Miller (sort of), nobody on the Bulls Roster can bring that.

Budinger’s question is defense. If he can become a non-liability, he’d be a great bench guy because of his versatility and shooting. Plus I love the guy’s athleticism- his vertical is very impressive and he has legit size for the 2/3 positions, so he could come in for a number of situations. I just hope he doesn’t let people step on his face in the NBA. Charles Barkley will have a heyday with him if he lets that happen.

Henderson is probably the safer bet between himself and Budinger because I feel that he is the better defender out of the gate.

And even though he’s a tough, fearless energy guy, I don’t really think that’s the Bulls’ biggest need.
