Sucks that ESPN wont hire anyone that knows anything about basketball. Only football and baseball. I hate Mashburn. Take it EZ.

This SUCKS. Lebron ripping off MJ and Red Kerr. I mean, who is he Moses as he spreads his arms and throws the powder, really stupid. And I had the same exact feelings then too when watching him do it. Now it is some spectacle, in my opinion pretty damn stupid. Help me out hoopers out there, do you really need rosin on your hands one time before you play or what. I think it was funny for Mike in his antics with Johnny, but now it is way out of hand, on Gatorade commercials and everything. Just like anything special, it will get eventually worn out and commercialized. If Drose gets to the level of Lebron or Kobe, I hope he stays true and not some media hyped spectacle. You show it on the court, where is matters most, and you don’t need to be flashy if you are the best already.

Plus, wasn’t it much cooler, and a lot more fun, when these things occurred naturally out of spontaneity and personal creativity?

Maybe it’s just me.”

Couldnt have said it better myself.

Its not just you.

MJ set a very high bar for us all, and if we were to pick apart all the nuances of the game back then and how they’ve been manipulated by the game now, we’d really have too much time on our hands…

if anything I’d take a gripe with Bill Simms thoughts on D-Rose in the new column over this… considering we need to start praying at the alter of the PG, as we praise our savior whom previously was an SG

I think it’s obnoxious and egotistical and another way for him to draw more attention to himself even when he’s not actively playing basketball. They should treat that act like streakers and not show it on camera.

Oh, and you realize you just shined a positive light on Kobe, right? Just checking…
