Thanks for the analysis. This is wonderful breakdown for people who are trying to keep an eye out for the Bulls’ future. From what you’ve seen of him so far, how do you see him fitting into the flow of the Bulls system? Hypothetically speaking, if he comes over this summer, how do you envision his role?

Hey Paul. Thanks for reading. I want to say he can create his own shot but it depends on the situation. He can definitely do so in the post with this footwork and touch around the rim, as briefly noted in previous recaps. As far as working off the dribble (which is what I assume you want to know about) it’s difficult to say. There have only been 2 or 3 instance where Mirotic took a guy on off the dribble and created space for himself. While he made all three attempts it’s a bit too early to make any definitive statements. I’ve been keeping a look out for any signs that he can go to work in isolation and will definitely continue to do so.

Thanks so much for this analysis, it’s hard to find info on Nikola. He sounds offensively gifted but can he create his own shot? Sounds like he has a few post moves, but is more of a catch and shoot guy on the perimeter that depends on others to create space for him.
