Nicky C, you can’t see it right now, but I’m nodding vigorously.

Sometimes I hear this guy speak and wonder if he even cares/knows of a life outside basketball…

PS- We also have confirmation that Rose was the deserving MVP because Bleacher Report said it should have been LBJ…always bet against the BR

Different note: For the purposes of this article, I understand why you wrote the LBJ section in the unbiased, non-threatening way in which you did, but you aren’t fooling anyone. You loathe the cHeat and want to see them destroyed just as much as the next basketball fan exactly because they are the anti-Bulls led by an anti-Derrick Rose. No, the two playground bullies probably aren’t ‘bad guys or locker room cancers,’ but they sure as hell aren’t Derrick Rose, either. Derrick Rose right now is exactly what LeBron James could have and should have been to his hometown and the NBA…the person and player we all wanted and expected him to become. That’s the reason for his Decision backlash and the universal (sans John Hollinger) embrace of Rose. While LeBron shattered the vision we all had of superstar athletes in today’s day and age, Derrick Rose has nicely repaired the broken pieces into a new hope going forward…for the Bulls, the city of Chicago, and the entire fanbase of the NBA. He loves his teammates and coach and city, and he just wants to ‘Weeeen!’ He’s the type of kid that anyone and everyone can and should root for. Maybe that’s just the ‘story’ aspect that NBA statistical pundits hate on in regards to the MVP vote, but to me, this is just another crucial intangible that should be considered during the vote, as his humility and leadership bleed down into the basketball souls of his teammates, allowing their team to achieve their maximum potential as a unit despite having a brand new team with a brand new coach…all while their – and our – MVP is still a kid.

Unbelievable. It still gets me every single time: We have Derrick Rose on our team.

MVP, indeed.

one thing that puzzles me is how Durant got REALLY overlooked in the MVP race….i guess his defense is holding him back.
