If Carlos has a very good year and the Bulls make it to the ECF or farther then he could stay at least one more season if not through his contract.

If Carlos has a solid season and Gibson either gets injured, does not improve his offensive game or regresses in his overall performance then Carlos will remain in Chicago at least one more year.

When the time comes the Bulls will make the best basketball/business decision appropriate to the situation. The only thing I will concede right now is that the Bulls will pobably not have the best record in the Estern Conference this season. That being said, if Gibson has a break-out season offensively, now that his extension issues have been resolved, then Carlos better pack his bags.
