I really don't care if the Bulls go 0-6 in the preseason, as long as Thibs works out his rotation and begns to build the chemistry that will be needed for this team to be competitive. First thing I noticed was that the second unit closed out the game. Second thing I noticed was that the first unit had very low minutes played. That makes sense to me. The second unit are mostly new, and chemistry is build with game experience. I saw a nervousness when the second unit was on the floor that resulted in what appeared to be forced shots. I hope and expect to see a lot of PT for all of the second unit and bench players during the preseason games in order to develop the chemistry that will be needed to get through the regular season. The current starting lineup of Hinrich, Hamilton, Deng, Boozer and Noah appears to be solid, if they can stay healthy. Hinrich has considerable xperience playing with Deng and Noah and Boozer and Hamilton both seem to think very highly of Hinrich. The only solidly experience Bull on the bench is Gibson, Butler has very little game experience, and all the non-starters have no real game experience with each other. First game jitters caused by being the replacements for one of last seasons best second units in the NBA might have contributed to the performance. It is way to early to start worrying about any aspect of the overall performance of the Buls. I would at least wait until the 4th or 5th preseason game.
