Not to say that Omer Asik is not a starting quality center because on most teams he would most certainly would be; however, is Asik really worth 14.9$ million. Give the Rockets props for showing initiative, but they are making a huge risk seeing if a guy who does not have that great an offensive repitoire can develop into a presense in the paint–something that the Rockets need desperately.

Well, I figure that Asik will have Kevin McHale to work with him. Hopefully the Bulls can orchestrate a sign and trade deal sending over Asik for the expiring contract of Kevin martin. That would be a good idea. martin’s deal is expiring and he wants out of Houston. he will certainly relish the chance to play for a playoff contender like the Bulls.
