Melo will not come to Chicago, if we have a better chance of landing Lebron James this summer, then what makes you think we have a chance of landing Melo. (hint: he is planning on going to NY)

Plus Lebron James is a better all player then Melo since he is a ball hang scorer.

No thanks I past on Melo, I would rather keep Deng or trade him for Rudy Gay. At least with Gay we will have more youth, defense and more energy with his amazing dunks lol.

@DJ, I would not count Omer Asik and James Johnson as solid back-up players yet. The potential is there for them, but not this year. Asik will play, but he will need to bulk up and build stamina before he can be effective as a primary back-up. Johnson needs to improve his defense and shooting to be considered a solid back-up player.

@Matt, let’s not forget that Deng shot 38% from 3pt range last season, 40% in 08/09 and 36% in 07/08. He is a legitimate threat from 3pt range and will only get better with the addition of Boozer and the continued improvemet of Rose and Noah.

I would like to see the Bulls make a serious run at trading for Melo. That being said I would want Rose, Noah, Boozer, Korver, Gibson and Asik as untouchables in a possible deal. While I do not expect much from Asik this season, he will be huge in the future as a back-up for Noah once he deveolps his strength and stamina.

And don’t forget Miami, you guys still need solid role bench players to back our amazing super star friends in case they get hurt or if they get into foul trouble.

At least we will have solid backup players with: C.J Watson, K. Korver, Taj Gibson, Kurt Thomas, Omer Asik, Keith Bogans, James Johnson and hopefully Rafer Alston with Chris Richard to backup: Rose, Brewer, Deng, Boozer and Noah.

I just want the Bulls to make the playoffs so we can see what they REALLY can do. Let’s not forget that if LeBron shoots like he did against Boston (consistently missing open jumpers) against us instead of the way he shot in the first round (consistently poking out Deng’s eye with his follow through), then the team we had last season sends Cleveland packing……I’m friggin EXCITED.

i agree fully with bulls4ever. but i’ve got one thing to say could someone please tell lebron to shut the bleep up! saying dan gilbert and all his doubters are his motivation to win a championship aside from gilbert, where was that so called motivation when he was in cleveland and thousands people doubted him! the dude is a choke artist always will be thats why pussed out and signed with two other fags!
